The condition is most commonly seen among children, although adults may also be affected. What are your tonsils anyway?

Swallowing pain may be a symptom of a serious disorder. Do you feel like having a rock in your mouth, chest pain while swallowing , some food stuck in the throat, or having pressure in the neck? Then, the pain may be caused by large tonsils stones. Home care : eat slowly and make sure you chew food well, eat liquid foods and avoid a very hot and cold foods. There are several factors which facilitate snoring. In fact, snoring causes many couples to sleep in separate rooms. Enlarged tonsils and adenoids are a common cause of snoring and sleep disruption in children. The tonsils are clusters of lymphoid tissue in the back of the throat while the adenoids are a similar mound of tissue in the back of the nose. When the surgery is done you should stay overnight to make sure that there is no pain in your mouth or any problems while swallowing. It can be some bleeding but it’s not so serious. You should take a rest for a few days after the surgery. Pain medication can also make you feel better, just be sure taking your medication on time.
