How To Make 2017 an Awesome Year!


This year is coming to its end. In case it wasn’t as you imagined to be, you have a chance to make the next year better.

The end of 2016 means a new challenge and fresh beginning of 2017. Here’s an interesting guide how to turn 2017 into an unforgettable year.

Write down a list with your goals and wishes.

This probably sounds like a cliché to you, but it really works. When you make a visualization of your goals in your mind, they become more serious and success is almost guaranteed. Don’t give yourself impossible tasks. Instead make them realistic which will motivate you and leave you enthusiastic. We advise you to do the following goals, which are very practical:

  • Drink one glass of water more every day.
  • Substitute most of the white products with their brown alternative; for example whole wheat pasta and whole wheat bread.
  • Being physically active is very important. So, be active whenever you have the chance to do that. Walk to your office, get off the bus one stop earlier than usual, ride a bike, use the stairs instead of the elevator. Remember, walking is the best exercise you can have.
  • Stretching is also an excellent exercise. Practice that twice a week, and you will see the difference.

Create a new music playlist.

Music has a big influence on your mood. New year is associated with starting new things in your life and forgetting about the bad ones in the previous one, so creating a new music playlist will bring you new memories. Enjoy listening to your favorite songs!

Do something new.

In 2017 be more adventurous and willing to experiment with something new. Try things that you’ve never imagined you’d do. Getting out of the routine will make you feel better. So, you can join a new gym, become part of some drawing club if you enjoy drawing, travel on your own and visit some countries that you have always wanted to see, and other similar things. In this way, you will gain self-confidence, improve your communicative skills, and feel much more comfortable in any situation.

Make a list of things you would like to do in January.

January is not that beautiful as December, since the Christmas spirit is gone. But, you can also make the first month of the year interesting by hanging out with your closest friends, visit museums, spending more time in the kitchen baking cookies and so on.

Think about what went wrong this year.

What is the first bad thing that comes to your mind that happened in 2016? Write a few negative things that you experienced and create a plan on how to do them better in 2017. For example, if you are not happy with your school grades, then work on them. Or if your job frustrates you, it’s high time you changed it. Dedicate some time to do that, it’s worth trying.
