We all get the common cold from time to time. A nasty cough with mucus in the lungs that is sometimes hard for us to expel out.
Should you have mucus in your lungs, the best thing you can do is to expel it so you can feel better in a fast manner. All natural remedies work very well for this. The following recipe can easily be made at home, taking one tablespoon three times per day until you begin to feel better. This syrup can be used by anyone, from adults to children. It is made with some very common household ingredients, and only takes a matter of minutes to make.
To make the homemade syrup, you will need:
- 1 tablespoon of marshmallow root
- 1 tablespoon of sage
- 1 tablespoon of flaxseed
- 1 lemon, sliced up
- 1 quart of filtered water
- 1 cup of Pure Maple Syrup
Place water and Maple Syrup in a small sauce pan. Heat to medium, then add the rest of the ingredients.
Turn heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and strain well. Place the syrup in the refrigerator.
